Edible flowers | Elderberry | Marigold

There is something seductive, romantic, ethereal about flowers.
The scent, the colors and the look. At Örtfabriken we use flowers as often as we can. Above all as a magical tool (the rose). But also as skin care (marigold and lavender). To support our physical bodies (the mallow flower) when needed. And as often as we can in our diet; both food and drink. Garnish with flowers in your salad, on your pie or in your soup.

Cress - bright yellow and orange. Peppery and delicious. Livens up a dull salad.

Violet - because it smells so good that you can't stop laughing. Beautiful to have for most things.

Red clover - actually a perfection in shape and color. Make sure to choose the right clover. Red clover is both tasty and very nutritious. Great in salads.

Marigold - try frying this sunny flower. Take the flower bud, shake out any bugs and fry it in olive oil.

Elderflower - make a pancake batter, dip the elderflower in the batter and fry them like little pancakes. Yummy.

Do you have any tips for flowers to eat?
