Rosemary oil for hair | Recipe

Today I thought I'd harvest rosemary and make my own rosemary oil for my hair. My hair has become so dry from the calcium-rich water here in Croatia. Can rosemary oil bring it back to life? We'll see.
Here you can see how I harvest from my garden that I have on loan while I'm in Croatia. Rosemary, different types of lavender and a succulent that I don't know the name of yet. Harvesting rosemary is a strong aromatic experience and if I could I would send the scent out here into the ether.
A couple of years ago I started to long to take care of rosemary and similar plants and in some strange way it happened. It is so interesting to experience the plants in their true habitat. Rosemary grows everywhere in Croatia. According to my aunt it is a "rustico" and by that I mean it is a hardy plant that does not need much. It copes well, both through very cold (below zero degrees) and long periods of very high temperatures.
I harvest enough for a small glass jar. I have kept the glass jar in boiling water for a couple of minutes to clean it as much as possible. I choose a small jar, considering how much oil is needed to fill it to the brim.

I cut the rosemary into smaller pieces and fill the glass jar. Then I fill it with oil to the brim. I use what I have at home and this time it was sesame oil. Sesame oil is warm and smooth, but perhaps a bit too strong a scent. We'll see how the scent is when the oil is ready.
Maybe I should have cut the rosemary into even smaller pieces, but nothing prevents me from doing so in a week or so. Now my rosemary oil is left to steep in sunlight for at least two weeks. Then I strain it and pour it into a nice bottle.
Rosemary has stimulating and uplifting properties. I hope it will give my hair what it craves. Maybe I will drop in a couple of drops of vitamin E for some extra nourishment. The recommendation is to drop rosemary oil into the scalp. It is supposed to stimulate hair growth and prevent hair loss. I often use oils, both on the skin and in the hair. But I have not tried rosemary yet.
Have you used rosemary oil and what do you think?
