Wild Herbarista | Interview hormone health and herbs

Here is an interview with the lovely Rebecca Tiger from Wild herbarista.

Do we know more about hormonal health now than 10 years ago?

hormonal health

- Yes, I really think so, although it's probably still a bit difficult for everyone to grasp. But concepts like follicular/luteal phase are probably more familiar to me than 10 years ago, and I think more people are talking about the discussion around bioidentical hormones.

You can also see that it is a big business and social media is filled with advice on losing weight using these hormones.

What is your advice to someone who is having problems with hormonal health?

- It depends on what the underlying problem is that is creating the hormonal imbalance. When did it start, where in the body is it located, how does it affect the whole feeling, bud, body and soul? What are the symptoms, is the person too cold, is he warm, what kind of blood is coming, is there no blood coming, what color is it?

Yes, you hear me, I can't give a simple answer, but my advice is that what you feel is real and a life should not be suffered, but lived. You are worth listening to.

How do you use herbs in your everyday life?

- I use herbs in different ways, acutely, e.g. during illness, during ceremonies, beauty and washing. In the more daily routines, I take a tincture of red fly agaric to make room for peace and quiet, less anxiety. I take shatavari because I am premenopausal and it calms my hormones.

I take yarrow for boundary setting and stamina. I spray myself with rosehip, catnip and water mint for protection and boundary setting. I rub rose oil on my heart before going to bed; to open up for more love and if there are a lot of thoughts I put celandine, passion flower, lemon balm and lavender oil on my feet.

When I'm stressed, I do a foot bath with mustard seeds. I love making different sugar/salt and coffee scrubs with different herbs and oils. Then I use many of the seasonal herbs such as spruce shoots, birch, elderberry. I collect, eat and create for the pantry.

Thank you Rebecca for taking your time!
