Tips for reading about herbs for peace and tranquility | stress

For us at Örtfabriken, this world would be much greyer if there were no written words about herbs and if there was no time to read them. There are so many beautiful books and sources of information that invite you to worlds that may have been hidden from us. There are some interesting books and sources about herbs for the nervous system. Herbs that are used for relaxation, peace and quiet, to unwind and for sleep.

Hope you are inspired to read!

Here are tips on three very good sources about herbs for the nervous system:

1. Body into Balance by Maria Noel Groves . This comprehensive book covers the entire body but has a very beautiful chapter on relaxation, mood and sleep. Her favorite herbs are St. John's Wort, Mimosa, Heartwood, Lemon Balm, and Wormwood.

2. Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine . Juliete Blankespoor's herbal school. Worth following if you are interested in herbalism. Here is a link to herbs for the nervous system. Horsetail, Lavender, Lemon Balm are the herbs she chooses to highlight.

3. Herbs for Stress & Anxiety: How to Make and Use Herbal Remedies to Strengthen the Nervous System by Rosemary Gladstar . This little book provides an understanding of how herbs can be used to calm the mind and strengthen the nervous system. Some of the stronger, relaxing herbs can be used for sleep. For example, hops and valerian. As usual, Rosemary Gladstar offers plenty of recipes. She wants herbal knowledge to be available to everyone and shows this by offering inexpensive products. I think this little book costs about 9 USD.
