Retreats in Croatia 2026 | Yoga, herbs and good food

Now that I've been in Croatia for a while, I'm starting to get a feel for where the real gems are. I'm living here temporarily in Croatia, and knowing that my time is limited, I've done my utmost to explore the area. The nature is wonderful, there are so many herbs, and Croatia has much more to offer than just sun and swimming.
First and foremost, I'd like to highlight Isabella's retreats. She has been my yoga teacher here in Zagreb, and I can highly recommend her. She holds retreats all over the world, but here in Croatia in 2026, she's inviting people to both simpler and more luxurious retreats. For example, she offers simpler sound meditations for those passing through the big city of Zagreb, and dreamy yoga retreats on a yacht along the Croatian coast.

Fige Yoga has an exciting range of retreats. I'm most curious about their Yoga Retreat at Ekodrom Estate. It looks so beautiful, and I love the Croatian interior. Fewer tourists, more unspoiled. More Central European, both in nature and food. I've heard many good things about Ekodrom Estate, that they have a well-thought-out sustainability perspective and have rebuilt, restored, and added to the estate in harmony with nature. Sasha, who leads this retreat, specifically invites solo travelers. So if you're traveling alone, this is the retreat for you.
The retreat is near the beautiful Plitvice National Park, which you may have seen pictures of. Here you can see a collage of photos from the retreat.

Fige also has several retreats this year on the island of Brač, which is a ferry ride from Split. The islands off Split are probably my number one choice if I'm going to travel anywhere along the coast. To get to Brač, you take the ferry from Split for 1-2 hours.
Along the coast, there's a different type of nature and cuisine - here it's the Mediterranean. Herb enthusiasts will go wild over all the Mediterranean herbs: lavender, rosemary, chasteberry, olive leaves, immortelle. Such strong scents! And for those who haven't been to Croatia yet, the sea is absolutely incredibly clear.

You've probably already heard and understood that prices in Croatia are not low. So be prepared to pay as you would in Sweden. However, I have found a retreat that is a bit more economically viable. Anima Mundi Holistic Center is run by Gloria and is located about 1 hour from Zagreb. Everything about this retreat exudes creative joy. Personally, I get excited by these little corners of the world that someone has completely transformed based on their inner longing.
Gloria says she welcomes guests from near and far. It's a small place, more like an ashram, and she has only a few people there at a time (up to 4 people). The retreat is clearly inspired by India, and yoga, pranayama, and Ayurveda are included. In September 2026, she is hosting a yoga festival, with workshops, sound healing, cacao ceremony, meditation, and more.
