Magical plants and inspiring books

Do you believe that plants and nature are magical and that they affect us? We at Örtfabriken get more and more experiences with the herbs, the more we work with them. And the experiences change character. It has gone from a physical experience of the herbs (e.g. a cold is coming on and is helped by Echinacea) to touching us in a more subtle, spiritual and magical way. For example, the herb Kungsljus and how it gives us a sense of the here and now. Of grounding.

Books that have touched us regarding herbs, magic and spirituality are:

1. Magical Herbalism
2. Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs (1985)
both books by Scott Cunningham. He describes the power of herbal magic and that it is a very practical form of practice. In the second book is a 300 page encyclopedia of various herbs, their astrological signs and magical powers.

3. The Witch's Garden
by Hella Nathorst Böös
Actually, all of Hella's books give you an insight into the magical world of herbs.

4. The spiritual properties of Herbs (1988)
by Gurudas
The book describes in detail the spiritual influence of plants on us. Flower essences, homeopathy and gem elixirs are described. Then comes the best part, where herb by herb is described.
