So small and fragile, they look. But in reality they are bursting with energy. Take the opportunity to pick these delicious nutritional bombs now that they are on sale.
What wild plants will you pick now?
*Dandelion leaves - pick the tender leaves, rinse them well and use them as a salad. The bitter leaves will be good for your digestion.
*Violet - The scent of violets is intoxicating and they are packed with vitamins and antioxidants. Use the flowers in salads, in rice dishes, on pies or other decorations.
*Nettles - Pinch off the fine leaves and use in salads, smoothies, baking bread and soups.
Note: Avoid picking near heavy traffic. If you can, choose unsprayed areas. And when you do pick, do so with confidence and care. Take only what you need.
