Aren't the winter stamens beautiful? In the picture below it is the herb Goldenrod. We have learned a lot about Goldenrod in the American herbalist courses. But we have gained so much more than simple knowledge from the herbal courses we have taken. They have opened doors to ourselves and to the world of herbs in a way we could never dream of.
Here we give tips on a couple of herbal training courses and courses in natural medicine that we ourselves have experience with for those of you who want to delve deeper into herbalism and alternative health:
- Nature's medicine on NordensBiskopsArnö . Opportunity to study three semesters with a focus on Western herbs, Ayurveda and Chinese herbalism. The most thorough herbal education in Sweden. Free education, thanks to our Swedish public education.
- The Science and Art of Herbalism . A distance learning course where you follow different modules independently. Basic training that is packed with recipes, anecdotes and real gems. The famous herbalist Rosemary Gladstar has created this course. Cost about 300 USD. As you can see, an incredibly affordable price.
-Medicinal plants the natural pharmacy at Hola folk high school. A one-year distance education with a couple of physical meetings in beautiful Västernorrland. Great teachers! Ps. Also free education as it is a folk high school course.
We also want to give a try to the following courses. We do not have personal experience with the courses, but we know the course leaders well and know that they have good knowledge of herbalism. We have also heard good reviews.
Karolines Way of Life offers the following herbal courses online:
♡ Herbal teas - strengthen health & relieve discomfort
♡ Herb walk online video - identify wild edible plants
♡ How to choose herbs for you as an individual – “Energetics”

The second course has been developed and offered with great success by my herbal sister Anna. Click here to access it:

Here are some we would like to take a course for:
Maia Toll for making the invisible magical world of herbs visible. And I would have liked to take a course with Stephen Buhner because he writes so well about the antibacterial and antiviral effects of herbs. And of course we would like to take a course in ... well, you see, the list is endless.
Tell us about your tips!
