There are so many fun ways to enrich your everyday diet. Herbs are a great way to get more nutrition into your everyday life.
Nutritious celebrities are Nettle, Yarrow and Red Clover. Raspberry leaves. And of course Burdock and Dandelion root. There is a great wealth, but we limit ourselves to these.
I remember when it dawned on me that herbs have been used throughout history as a nutritional boost. Herbs, to me, were plants we used for specific purposes. But they have a double effect. They help us when we need them, but they also have a lot of nutrition in them. In English, these nutritious herbs, such as stinging nettle, are called "tonifying herbs". With their help, you can make yourself a "tonic".
The best way to prepare a nutritious herb is to take it fresh. For example, by making an infusion where we let the nettle leaves steep in boiling water. Let it steep overnight and you will get a super infusion. Or a tincture of fresh herbs . We have then managed to capture much of the summer gold and can take it drop by drop. We can also dry the herb and, for example, grind it into a fine powder. Sprinkle red clover powder on the porridge.
